 McCain's Wife's Fortune from Beer???
Back to Full Blog

I didn't know until recently that Cindy McCain's 100 million fortune is from beer distributorship.  Hmmm... The President that beer built?

Good for her for having all that dough.  But, I do have a weird feeling about it in connection to our government and leadership.  Remember Jimmy Carter's brother, Billy, and his beer?  Alcohol causes sooo much death, disease, and misery.  It's sales are geared toward young people, advertisers would have people believe that a drink makes you attractive and sexy.  More like the opposite, truthfully.

I just have a problem connecting leadership with beer.

Interesting post. I didn't know that either. As a non-drinker, it can be a major issue. I know what drinking beer does to people. It can be pretty ugly. Thanks for the info. Blessings, Karen

Not to worry...JFK's grandaddy was a bigtime bootlegger and that was how a lot of the Kennedy fortune was made...And Cyndy McCain seems to be doing more charity work and good deeds all over the world than any of the candidates...

Do you remember Billy Beer?

I'm undecided, too, at this point. I like to think that we'd be OK with either of several party candidates. I don't trust the elections any more, though. Sad.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi! Good to see you. I didn't know this until recently, too. A friend reminded me of Kerry and the Heinz ketchup connection. But I don't have any bad ketchup memories. I do have old friends who are not around now from car accidents involving alcohol. I've never been to a 12 step meeting for ketchup junkies either. I just don't think I, myself, could distribute drugs or alcohol for money.

Take care of yourself!

Hi, Coloconnect! Good to see you! Yes, you are right. Absolutely. I don't feel all that negative about the McCains. Apparently Cindy has had some challenges, it hasn't all been a walk in the park for the girl. No one has cause to badmouth a veteran/POW, either. I just thought this was interesting. It surprised me. She's had chemical dependency issues, like so many others. But I know that if one's brought into a life where there is fortune, by whatever means, it's not easy (or necessary) to turn it away. It's just the pain and abuse issues.

Thanks for visiting!

You know, I might have actually voted for Kerry, call me crazy, but I couldn't stand his wife. There was something so impersonable about her, I thought she would make a terrible First Lady. Yes, I knew about the Heinz Ketsup connection and I love Heinz, but that wouldn't have been enough to vote for hubby so she could be First Lady. I think it would have been a disaster. But, those are just my own personal thoughts. She might be a wonderful person, but just didn't come off that way in public appearances. Blesings, Karen

Cindy McCain would be a terrific First Lady as evidenced by the challenges she has met successfully so many times before.
How do I know? Because I've researched her history as well as her sincere charitable activities of today.
