So, could you tell one of those guitarists is my son?  Big surprise, huh?  You can always tell when there's a proud mom around.







This Memorial Day finds me reading a book about Islamist jihad and the bombing of the World Trade Center.  No matter what we think of Bush and Cheney with their neo-con war, there is a definite problem we have to solve.  How do we stop terrorists from murdering innocent citizens?  Nevermind that it is against the teaching of any religion to murder innocent victims.  It must stop and we all have to see that it does.

Since Islamic jihad knows no borders and is a global call for all who want to get involved, it attracts fighters from many countries.  Some truly believe they're fighting for God, some are just attracted to bloody mayhem. 
We need to go to work on this at the roots. 

One opinion; another opinion; in fact, there are lots of opinions out there.  We need to work toward a solution. 

Something I find ironic is how much the lives of G. W. Bush and O. bin Laden are alike.  Each grew up in the shadow of a powerful, successful father.  Both sons are of water signs, Cancer and Pisces.  These are the more receptive signs.  In their own struggle to make their own way and their own name in the world, there have been some failures.  And, of course, the paths cross frequently when you bring in oil, Saudi Arabia, investment, and the name Carlyle and Arbusto.  If you'd like to read more on these matters, I suggest 'Fortunate Son' and 'Looming Towers'.  You could almost say that each has prospered from the enemy in the other.  What a coincidence...
