It can't be so!
I can't believe my ears!
In this
most important election year, a few Americans are so fed up with the
campaigning, they're saying they're not going to vote. Or much worse,
vote for the other party's candidate!
I understand the feeling of frustration at hearing the silly comments
from the candidates. I'm to the point of turning off the news and the
radio. That's a hard choice for me, since I like to listen to talk
radio. I don't know how much more I can take and the election isn't
until November! It's still seven (7!) months away.
Please don't let me hear you say you're just not going to vote. Don't
be absolutely ridiculous by saying you'll vote for the opposing party's
candidate!!! That makes no sense!
As an example, let's say someone is for Obama. They don't like the
back and forth comments between Clinton and Obama. That is not a
reason to stop supporting your candidate! I can hear it in your voice,
you still want to see him win.
All the positions of the candidates are out there on their websites,
YouTube speeches, newspapers, and campaign party headquarters in your
area! Don't let me hear you say you don't hear them discussing the
issues. They did in the debates, and they still do. The media likes
ratings so they put all this disagreeable stuff out there to supposedly
attract you. (And to make you do exactly what you're threatening to!!!)
If you are for one of the Democratic candidates and you are fed up with
the comments but still are in line with the party's ideals, stay with
that party! Are you into self-punishment? Especially after the past 7
years of Republican rule, war, torture, economic catastrophy, loss of freedoms,
almost the end of America as we know and love it, you KNOW how
important it is to get someone we can trust to put things back
together.
This isn't the time to jump ship. Don't let me down. Your candidate
would not want you to simply not vote, or worse yet, vote for the other
party's candidate!
Hang in there. It will be worth it. Thomas Jefferson knew it was worth the fight. So did George Washington. And Martha Washington.
