 Great Americans Speak Up

I've met some awesome people via the Internet. You very well might be one of them. Blogstream, imeem, Yahoo, and ebay are where I've met some neat people, most Americans, who have helped me out if I needed encouragement or instructions. Thank you!

I learned of a great website
which brings our attention back to more good American people; some presidents, some "ordinary souls", but people that I need to know about, especially these days.

Sometimes, the news stories I hear make me wonder where I am. I don't really want to be associated with some of the more hateful, unkind, greedy, or superficial people the media likes to report on to boost ratings by way of controversy. I am again hopeful about the future, and thankful that my past included ancestors who took the risk to sail to America over 300 years ago.

Monday After Mother's Day and Butts

I had a great Mother's Day and I hope everybody had a good weekend, mother or not a mother. I received a handmade card and two scented candles from one of my sons, and a large (11 X 14") piece of art from my youngest one. The piece of art is very cool, in yellows, grays, dark blues, and orange hues, with an acrostic poem with my name - the last 2 lines are my favorites: Extremely awesome, Never as weird as a possum! How can you NOT love that??!! I put a high value on creativity and originality so these things are priceless to me.

Finally, my sons moved my PC from the bedroom to the dining room and vice versa with the old Mac. It's not easy to type when sitting on the edge of a bed, although I tried. Hopefully, the sharp pain in the right side of my neck will go away now.

And since I see the topic of butts has come up on Blogstream today, I thought I'd find something appropriate:

You know what they say about "good appetites"!

Since my tailbone was knocked around in a car accident years ago, my butt's never really been the same. I don't have any tattoos on my tush, either. I don't really like scrawny or bony butts.

Just as in dance, in modeling school we were "taught" to walk without sticking out our butts. The instructors would have us practice standing with back against the wall and pressing the small of the back against the wall, too. Being slightly sway-backed, I would have to bend my knees a bit then straighten back up in the "correct" posture. Then we were expected to walk like that. This was 40 years ago! I hope things have gotten easier for those wanting to improve their posture and self-esteem by going to modeling school.

This makes me think of my 2 year old singing Queen's 'Fat-Bottom Girls' while sitting in the grocery cart as we went shopping! He's my Leo son; he has always loved an audience, so his singing was nice and loud.

Now you go have a great day! We're looking toward the Summer Solstice in a matter of weeks! Yikes!!!

Blessings, Lulublue

Stuck in a Cyber Traffic Jam?

I couldn't get my photos uploaded! Must be super busy tonight!

It is frustrating to trust technology and get to rely on it. This happened one other time to me on Blogstream.

I went to the rose garden across the street from the Santa Barbara Mission and took around 40 pictures! The roses are so beautiful right now. On the Memorial Day weekend the 'I Madonnari' sidewalk chalk art festival will be happening so the roses will be in "full costume".

Try this blog, too.

Have a great Saturday night! And Happy Mother's Day!

Blessings, Lulublue

Strange News Stories - May 2007

I listen to KGO AM in San Francisco as I get ready to fall asleep. Bernie Ward is on the air from 10 until 1, then Ray Taliaferro takes over from 1 to 5, in case I can't sleep. Since going to bed last night I heard about 11 GOP Congresspersons going to talk to Bush, et al. to tell him they no longer give him any credibility (politospeak for "we don't trust you"), then the Iraqi parliament voted to tell Bush that they want the Americans to leave Iraq, military generals again mentioning to the administration that further occupation useless, Hamas is using a Mickey Mouse cartoon to indoctrinate very young children to hate Israel, and there are a very large number of weather or fire upheavels going on in America. I won't even start in with the Phil Spector trial.

We are living in some weird times, aren't we? Is there anyone in touch with reality out there?

Enjoy some good music...

Isn't this little guy cute?!?!

An albino wallaby!

I hope you have a great day.

Blessings of Peace Within and Without,

 Too Much On My Plate?

I hope this isn't being rude, but I did a pretty decent blog on another page so I'll give you a link to over there.

I uploaded a couple of pictures of the rose garden at the SB mission and talked about grocery store singles games as well as synesthesia. It's worth checking out.

I've got too many things going because I love doing this and I have too many interests, perhaps. I've spent some time on imeem, as well as ebay, and 360 Yahoo. And, of course, here where I began. Anyway, I'll just see where this all goes. You have a great evening.

Blessings, Lulublue
